THE VERY SAD,SAD, SAD CASE OF THE YOUNG MALAYSIAN PAEDOPHILE, SENTENCED TO 5 YEARS JAIL IN LONDON!

by sigmund freud jung, donplaypuks® intrepid correspondent for paedophilia affairs

The conviction on 30th April 2015 of Nur Fitri Azmeer Nordin, a MARA maths scholarship student at Imperial College, London, for downloading more than 30,000 extreme images and videos of child pornography, is a very, very sad case indeed, for the individual, as well as MARA, the Ministry of Education and Malaysia.

Nur had actually been arrested on 20th November last year, at his home at upmarket Queensborough Terrace near Hyde Park. But for reasons known best to our authorities, no news of it emerged until it was reported in the British newspapers on 1st May, 2015. Obviously, MARA and the Ministry of Education must have known about the incident last year, but chose to keep silent. So much for a free press.

Nur pleaded guilty to one count of possessing indecent videos and images of children, and seven counts of creating indecent photographs of a child. He also pleaded guilty to four counts of possession with intent to distribute indecent images of children, and one count of possessing indecent videos, making all in all 13 offences.

Nur was sentenced by the presiding case judge at Southwark Crown Court, to five years in prison, upon the completion of which, he would be automatically deported back to Malaysia.

The London court determined that Nur was not merely a passive child-porn viewer, but had actively participated in the making and sharing of a staggering quantity of child-porn files. Quote from Detective Constable Sara Keane of the Metropolitan Serious Crime Unit:

"These were some of the most extreme images that have ever been seen by officers working in this field. The volume of images and the alarming content meant that a custodial sentence was inevitable."

601 of these images and videos were classified under category 'A", meaning abuse involving penetrative sex with children. Hundreds more were under categories 'B' and 'C".

Police discovered the material in Nur's laptop and other external hard drive back-up devices, when they raided his home, following an alert from Internet authorities. During the raid, police found Nur in his room, sitting next to a life-size mannequin of a boy!

Nur 23, hails from the small town of Malim Nawar, Perak and complete his secondary education at Sekolah Menegah Science, Teluk Intan, Perak. If we are to go by the 2011 results he achieved at the International Mathematical Olympiad (see above) he is no mathematics genius or proven whizz-kid. But a placing of 492 in the IMO suggests he is well above average in maths and the fact that Imperial College offered him a place, indicates that he must have an exceptional talent.

But where did he go wrong, this young Malaysian who had earned a golden opportunity and had the whole world at his feet? How did an apparent golden goose lay a stinking dross egg?

But before we go into that disturbing area of his psyche, we must first condemn without exception MARA's attitude that they are "prepared to give Nur, and other students like him (??!!), a second chance to complete their tertiary education back home". MARA officials were quoted as saying that Nur could turn out to be a national asset (??!!)! Minister for Rural and Regional Development, Shafie Apdal also made an international fool of himself by saying:

"We can appeal to reduce the length of the sentence. The problem is we are subject to the laws of the country. We have to respect the laws that other countries practise."

Appeal by all means, since that is Nur's right. But, why are the relevant sexual child abuse laws of Britain a "problem" to Malaysia? Are there no similar child pornography laws in Malaysia, or are they applied differently to foreigners as opposed to local citizens? Does he mean that if the case had occurred in Malaysia, Nur would have been treated leniently and, should/would have, escaped prison?

Without knowing how serious Nur's problem is, how on earth could MARA talk about giving a kind of blanket amnesty  to "other students like him"? Are they suggesting that Nur was victimised by London police in a kind of British (colonial bastards) conspiracy? That if Nur had been tried in Malaysia, our brilliant, totally emasculated judiciary would have exonerated him completely? What gives with this blazing stupidity, backs-to-the-wall rhetoric and false bravado? Perhaps in some gross distortion of a Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale, or a Twilight Zone episode, a person convicted of child porn could become a prized national assets, even win the Nobel Prize. But a reality check would suggest that MARA is living in a state of total denial.

This is the kind of double standards that is fast causing our nation to sink towards 4th world and police-state status, the 'Tak Mahu Kalah' (cannot-lose face) stance, bordering on, if not actually immersing itself, in the 'Ketunan' (Ethnic Supremacism) garb(age).

In Malaysia some (so far) have got away with murder and other crimes. A former Chief Justice once freed a man of a crime, pronouncing that a Muslim would not lie, while his partner, a non-Muslim was convicted of the same crime. Fortunately, this bigoted decision was reversed by the Court of Appeal. But the issue here is, how and why was this known bigoted wolf in sheep's clothing promoted to the exalted position of Chief Justice of Malaysia by then PM Badawi??!! After retirement, he joined PAS and is now championing the introduction of Islamic syariah laws for the whole of Malaysia, including all non-Muslims!

A few year's ago, a judge refused to convict a Muslim state bowling exponent of statutory rape, claiming that an under-aged 13-year old girl had given "consent", thereby standing the very definition of statutory rape on its head. Which law college could this disgraceful judge have graduated from to have primed his sub-par faculties to decide that a 13-year old girl could ever given any kind of consent to sex? Where was he when God gave out brains? The judge even had the audacity to observe that a conviction might deprive the nation of a bowling champion, a destiny which was never remotely achieved! The AG and Chief Justice refused to interfere and put right this abomination of verdicts. Another charge of statutory rape was withdrawn when an under-aged girl "agreed" to marry the Muslim rapist, and in about a year, the marriage ended in (surprise, surprise) divorce.

A man sacked for the loss of RM 30 billion on forex speculation losses at the central bank in the '90's, today sits as deputy chairman of our national sovereign wealth funds and as Minister without portfolio in the Prime Minister's department. Is this what MARA means by "second chance"? That proven predatory wolves should be rehabilitated to patrol chicken coops?

In recent months, the IGP and AG have both refused to arrest a man who kidnapped his daughter from her mother's house in an Islam-conversion case, despite a high court's judge orders to do precisely that. The list goes on.

Let's look at things in their proper perspective. Thousand of Malaysian students are sent on government scholarships overseas every year, and we hardly hear of any untoward behaviour about them. Statistically, the Nur incident is a drop in the ocean. This is not to make excuses for a truly shocking, spine-chilling, contemptible and loathsome case. We all have young children. The very though that lurking out there are these monsters waiting to entice and pounce on our innocent children, churns the stomach like nothing else.

A paedophile is defined as a person who is sexually attracted to children. With Nur, we do not know yet if his actions went beyond mere paedophilic obsession and fantasy. Did he go further and participate in child molestation or rape? What does the fact that he was found with a life-size mannequin of a boy tell us? Was he himself a victim of paedophilic child abuse, that led to this perverted behaviour?

So, how should the government handle this hot potato? Make no mistake, this incident and the managing of it by MARA, the Ministry of Education and Minister Shafie Apdal, has placed Malaysia in a very poor light, internationally.

Firstly, a thorough investigation should be undertaken in Malaysia by both the police and leading psychiatrists/psychologists, of his entire childhood and school days, right up to the time he left for London. Is there any evidence that he was a very mentally sick and disturbed person from his early days? What do his school friends, close pals, teachers, family members and relatives have to say? What about his activities in London? What do his behaviour and actions there tell the experts? Is there a pattern of consistent deviant behaviour? Was it congenital, or influenced by someone else and was Nur himself a sexually child-abused victim? Or, was it curiosity and one-off aberrant behaviour sparked by the sudden freedom Nur found in London?

Is he still mentally sound or totally gone? On the face of it, it looks like the latter and not the former.

Once a complete dossier has been compiled, and if the evidence points to paedophilia, then he should be treated appropriately by the psychiatrists/psychologists. Perhaps "rehabilitation" is possible. Only if they are satisfied that Nur poses no threat to society, should they start talking about second chances. Otherwise, the only place anywhere for Nur might be a mental asylum, or a marked home where his movements are restricted by police watch and the public warned very publicly about a paedophile in their midst.

Remember that the majority of paedophiles are life-long practitioners. Some of our leaders and theologicians live in a dream world where they think that homosexuality, lesbianism, transvestitism, paedophilia etc. can be burned out of the human psyche and body by "counselling" using precepts outlined in some holy book. Dream on!

As a long-term measure, given that all these scholarships are funded by the Taxpayer, the government could do worse then subject potential candidates to a serious and proper psychiatric evaluation, well BEFORE, they are transported from rural villages and towns and even metropolitan cities, to London, New York, Paris and Tokyo. Constant vigilance and prevention are always better than knee-jerk reactions and cure.

And if anyone should talk about Nur being possessed by spirits, and that perhaps his parents should invest RM8,750 in the University of Pahang's hex on, hex off kit (CLICK HERE), they should all be packed off  to the retreat in Tanjung Rambutan at once! It is criminal, how this careless, irresponsible, incompetent and uncaring government under the Grossmeldajibs and BUMNO/SCUMNO/Barang Naik, wastes public money, hundreds of billions of ringgit, repeatedly squandering it on the wrong people and cock-eyed projects!

If ever there was a government awash with an embarrassment and riches of cluelessness, and drowning in it, this is it, the government of Prime Minister Grossmeldajib who wears the pants, and her husband who wears the skirts.

BLUBBERY LIPS TALKS UTTER RUBBISH ABOUT TELCO GST! SHOULD BE SACKED!

by government sex tax, donplaypuks® intrepid correspondent for burdensome tax affairs

It really defies belief that PM Grossmeldajib should merely silence the Deputy Finance Minister charged with the handling of the Goods & Services Tax (GST) implementation, instead of unceremoniously sacking him on the spot. He had 18 months to fine-tune it, and the screw up,  especially over the GST on pre-paid telephone cards, is unbelievable and completely unacceptable.

If there is one piece of evidence confirming that our education system and standards are 3rd world, it is that this deputy minister is reputed to have a degree with a 3.8 GPA! Good God, how and from where did he earn that Grade Point Average and then exhibit a level of intelligence that would be insulting to a cacing (earthworm)?

More than that, what does it say about the intelligence of PM Grossmeldajib, who then delegated the job of resolving GST on pre-paid reload cards to Blubbery Lips who immediately made a hash of it?

How can such a simple matter as this be messed up so much by so few with so much stupidity?

Prior to the introduction of GST, 6% Sales & Service Tax (SST) was included in the price of prepaid cards. The telcos absorbed it because they were making a killing. It's as simple as that.

With the introduction of 6% GST, it is a simple matter of replacing the term SST with GST, and the status quo as to who bears the tax (the telcos) remain unchanged.

Yet Blubbery Lips has got his knickers in a twist and defended Mr.3.8 GPA that the 6% should be added on to the prepaid cards. So, what previously cost the consumer RM10 is now being sold at RM10.60. To add to the idiocy, Blubbery Lips says that the law has to be checked to see if it telcos can voluntarily absorb the 6% GST.

I have worked in 4 countries where GST was implemented long ago - UK, Australia, NZ and Singapore. There is no law anywhere, including Malaysia, that bars the retailer from absorbing GST. In fact, it would be a totally positive move for retailers to absorb GST since prices would not rise i.e. inflation would be contained, while the government would collect the revenue it intended to.

It does not matter to the government whether the consumer pays the tax or the retailer absorbs it. At the end of each quarter, the retailer will either way have to account and pay over to the government the difference between output and input tax. What does it matter to Blubbery Lips or PM Grossmeldajib who bears the tax, as long as the GST is accounted for and paid over correctly to the government? As Chairman Mao once said, "What does it matter if the cat is black or white, as long as it catches the mouse?"

In rushing with indecent haste to protect big businesses and screw the consumers in the process, Blubbery Lips further compounded his show of low IQ by lying that the telcos may have difficulty in absorbing the cost of "systems change". Wtf is he talking about? The system is already there! It would take all of 5 minutes at a cost of RM1 for the telcos to replace the words 'SST' with 'GST'. No more, no less. The system to calculate 6% GST and print out receipts is already there and that is all that would be need to be done. No more, no less!

What has the fact, if Blubbery Lips is correct, and I suspect he is totally wrong, that most prepaid cards are bought by foreigners, got to do with anything? Even if the telcos absorb the 6% GST, they will still have to pay the same amount of money to the government as they used to under the SST system. So, the only reason Blubbery Lips is dithering about a very basic issue is that he too must have got his degree from the same Uni Mr.3.8 GPA went to - the proton mana ada sistem school of ms.management.

Here is sheer absolute proof that we have a government that is run by incompetent, low IQ and plain stupid and ignorant ministers, who in a free market situation, would be hard pushed to find jobs as road sweepers.

If you vote for BUMNO/SCUMNO/Barang Naik come the next general election, be prepared to sink to 4th world status. You can kiss Mahathir's 2020 goodbye!

MAHA FIRAUN, ADVISERS DON'T SEEM TO KNOW HOW TO READ 1GDB'S BALANCE SHEET OR NOTES TO THEREOF!

by proton school of (mis)management, donplaypuks® intrepid correspondent for fake financial "expert" affairs

Maha Firaun's latest advisers on the 1Grossmeldajib Development Bunco artists scheme and the move to unseat the Grossmeldajibs from power permanently, seem to comprise a Koran-quoting and Arab hating blogger who claims to be an ex-central bank employee, a crony who was sold a publishing empire for RM2 by Maha Firaun himself and a former information minister with nothing between his ears.

And there you have it, a motley crew of "advisers" who are guaranteed to know nothing about money, finance or economics and who between them wouldn't know how to read a Balance Sheet even if tutored by Warren Buffet. Mahathir, like the Grossmeldajibs, does seem to attract these peculiar BUMNO/ SCUMNO advocates like bees to a honeypot. Remember, too, it is the likes of this same motley crew who crowned the Grossmeldajibs, Caesar, and promoted them as the saviours we have long been waiting for, in 2008/2009.

Maha Firaun and his latest three stooges, like the majority of BUMNO/SCUMNO/Barang Naik supporters, have yet to realise that after a deluge of repeated failures, mega financial scandals, and probably a murder or two, that they should stop championing the least crooked candidate to lead the country. We want the most upright, experienced and intelligent person to be the next prime minister, not the least handicapped retard.

And where were they when we told them not to promote crooks and thieves as national leaders, and where was Mahathir when we flagged the Grossmeldajibs' involvement in the Altantuya murder? Now they talk and pontificate as though they knew it all, but were waiting for the, oh so right moment to save the Rakyat. What hypocrites and dishonest, pathetic pseudo-intellectuals!

Who are they thinking of to replace the Grossmeldajibs? MopeyDopey Moohy with a $60 million financial scandal chained to his neck, and who knows what else?

That foot-in-mouth defenceless guy who is just not onn? Who made an international arse of himself vis-a-vis MH370? Who hadn't a clue how to handle the Lahad Datu "incursion"? Who is once said to have employed a "jambu-looking" male personal aide?

It's incredible that KJ should be remotely discussed as a dark horse. Dark he is, unable to satisfy Lim Kit Siang's query in Parliament to answer charges that he is the most unemployable/unemployed multi-millionaire unable to account to the Rakyat or the Inland Revenue for his massively swollen bank balance. This is what BUMNO/SCUMNO/Barang Naik has to offer - pick this crook or that crook to lead us to oblivion.

This is the rotten pile from which we should pick one to be crowned Caesar until the next mega multi-billion financial fraud or murder?

It's obvious that Maha Firaun doesn't really know what he is saying when challenging the Grossmeldajibs about RM27 billion "missing"from 1GDB's Balance Sheet.

No doubt the Grossmeldajibs, 1GDB and Maha Firaun too are all so crooked that they can easily remain undetected behind a corkscrew. No doubt this explains why Maha Firaun is hell-bent on building a crooked bridge over the Straits of Johor and start a war with Singapore; mainly because his paradigm-shafting school of lateral thinking and strategy advocates thievery (spindoctered as affirmative action), racism (divide and rule), beggar-thy-neighbour policies and universal discord over honesty, unity and peace for all.

Make no mistake. Maha Firaun was instrumental in a crooked crony and his crooked company being "compensated" some RM700 million with the connivance of then MsMinister for Everything That Doesn't Verks (also Minister for Tolls), none other than Semi Value of the Malaysian Indoor Curangu (monkey) party.

To prove he was worthy of standing on the same planet as Maha Firaun, Semi Value once robbed the Indian community of RM10 million of telecommunications shares. This was only one among many, many instances of grand larceny and fraud amounting to several billion ringgit, perpetrated by him on all Malaysians. It was Semi Value himself who dubbed Maha Firaun as 'Maha Thiruden' ('Great Robber' in Tamil), a fitting tribute indeed from one great scumbag thief, to another great scumbag robber. One wonders how much of that RM700 million went into the pockets of BUMNO/SCUMNO/Barang Naik and Maha Thiruden. How much would a crooked bridge now cost - RM2 billion plus a 2,000 year toll concession to Petro Saudi?

RM27 billion is not missing from 1GDB's balance sheet. It is whether RM27 billion of investments and cash are worth what 1GDB's auditors, Chairman, Board of Directors, CEO, Finance Director and the Grossmeldajibs say it is. Obviously, the answer is, it is not. I will explain why below.

There is no way the RM27 billion is not included in the Balance Sheet. Some of it is actually cash in bank account. The RM27 billion may only be worth half that sum now, but its original cost value is still there in the Balance Sheet at RM27 billion. The current value cannot be zero, not yet. What are the details of these investments, who suckered/conned 1GDB into it, who appoved it (of course the Grossmeldajibs did) and what is its current market value, or fire-sale value - that's what we really want to know.

A pork seller's book-keeper will tell you that if RM27 billion was "missing", the Balance Sheet will simply not balance. And don't sneer at pork sellers and their book-keepers. Some of the richest char siu rice, char siu pau and bak kua sellers, multi-millionaires, have for years been cooking the books to fool the Inland Revenue into thinking that their businesses have been losing money all their lives and that they live from hand to mouth, while driving around in Mercedes Benz cars, owning houses in Bangsar, Kenny Hills and Damansara, and their children got educated in London and USA. I have said it before and I will say it again to the Inland Revenue, tighten the net and you won't need GST or worry about con-men like Fitch, Standard & Poor, Moody's, the IMF and the World Bank.

What is pretty obvious to any amateur (except Maha Thiruden and his 3 mat toyol advisers) is that 1GDB has parked most, if not all of its excess cash, in investments that it cannot cash out of just now because of contractual obligations or, more likely, because the current market value of those investments have declined to such an extent, that cashing out now would blow a hole the size of the yet non-fully functioning RM10 billion Bakun Dam, in 1GDB's Balance Sheet. Fittingly, the yet non-fully functioning RM10 billion Bakun Dam was mooted (in 1993) and championed by none other then yes, bingo, you guessed it genius, Maha Firaun/Maha Thiruden!

Why 1GDB  raised billions of ringgit in debt way in advance of its requirements is another question the Grossmeldajib's will have to answer. I suspect it is because yet another bunch of mat toyol advisers, this time from the MoF, probably that guy who lost us RM30 billion at the central bank in the '90's and the othe chief secretary who approved $30 billion private initiative money from pension funds, told them that could could milk sovereign guarantees to glory and that if they invested it "correctly and wisely" then, "why, there's no way in hell we will lose money"! The Grossmajib's greed factor was so high, they fell for it like the guys at our sovereign fund did about that super 'breeding salmon in tropical waters' project that lost a billion ringgit or so.

The Grossmeldajibs are hoping against hope that the share and money markets will recover and bail them out, and that coal prices will rise so that they will not have to write off another RM2 billion from their Mongolian coal mining investment disaster.

Cashflow from IPP dividends, and certainly paper gains from revaluing land ad nauseum, cannot cover the interest on RM46 billion of debt. Do not forget IGDB owes another $3 billion to trade and other creditors, bringing the total debt to a staggering $49 billion!!! Few Fixed Deposits pay above 4% and there is always the risk of massive losses on exchange. So, now the Grossmeldajibs have started rolling over and over 46 billion of ringgit debts using our money to bail out their own ineptitude, incompetency and thieving and crooked nature.

But make no mistake. There is the smell of looting, plundering and fraud at 1GDB that the Grossmeldajibs hope they will be able to cover-up by listing its constituent businesses, like the IPP's, at a whacking premium. No doubt EPF, Socso, KWAP, PNB and Khazanah will all be arm-twisted into supporting huge over-valuations as "Cornerstone" Investors, and be awarded lolly-pops for their "national service sacrifice" which of course means sodomising the Rakyat since none of them have any money of their own, except ours!

There was looting and skimming of commissions in raising RM46 billion in bond and derivative debts and buying investments. There was CBT in using 1GDB's money for other peoples' (Jho Paris Hilton, a certain ex-CM of Sarawak) businesses. BNM was deliberately kept out of the loop so that money could be laundered without paying taxes. The Grossmeldajibs, and more than likely BUMNO/SCUMNO/Barang Naik too, illegally collected commisions and under-table money to persuade educated and highly qualified greedy and treasonous fools into parking our money in dodgy investments. Some Wall St. wolves may have benifitted as well, and then bought RM100 million exclusive condos in Beverly Hills and New York.

GS may have washed its hands off US$500 million in commissions by saying that "no commissions were paid to 3rd parties". But one of, if not the main person, involved in raising funds for 1GDB was a GS employee of Malaysian origins who suddenly resigned last year. It's not beyond the pale that this man might have been fronting for others (you know who) and paid them from his own pockets, something which GS (though it defies belief) claims it's not aware of.

Only a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) convened immediately can unravel the crooked trail of thievery by the Grossmeldajibs and their partners like Jho Paris Hilton. Who made all these disastrous "investment" decisions? Their heads should roll. The Grossmeldajibs will not come clean of their own accord. Jho Paris Hilton will not put his head on the chopping block voluntarily. The Auditor General and the Public Accounts Committee will take too long to do their job, no one will be found guilty of any misdeeds by them and no one will be surprised if they conclude that "all proper procedures were complied with" while ignoring the billions of ringgit that will have to be written off, while the Grossmeldajibs and Jho Paris Hiltons laugh all the way to the bank!

No way should the Rakyat allow 1GDB to sell off the Sg. Besi and other land gifted to it by the Grossmeldajibs at way, way below market prices. They have done nothing to enhance the land values of their own accord. If the land had been gifted to my grandmother, she would have seen the same rise in prices.

1GDB should be forced to re-sell the the land back to the government at original cost and the Grossmeldajibs be compelled to bear the RM3-5 billion operating loss (covered up by land revaluation paper gains). There is an opportunity cost here that must be recovered by the Rakyat. If the land had been sold by open tender, the government would have realised cash profits of billions of ringgit. Why should 1GDB benefit 1 cent from being mere title deed holders?

Let this also be a warning to 1GDB's former CEO's and new CEO Kenneth Kaunda Kundi - the cat has long been out of the bag. A CEO who knowingly conceals a history of fraud and thievery at his office, and does nothing about it, will later have to be put behind bars as an accessory before or after the fact. I would recommend whipping too. Resigning is not good enough. Where huge loads of the Rakyat's money is involved, you owe us a duty of care beyond walking out and keeping your mouth shut. Don't make stupid statements like "I have not seen or read any files". Don't be fools and cover up for the Grossmeldajibs. If the situation were the reverse, they would throw you to the wolves before you could say 'Little Red Riding Hood'. Hero or Zero? The choice is yours!

DAP MP TERESA KOK FINED INDECENT $200,000 AFTER FALSE ISA ARREST. TOTAL TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE!

by judge for yourself, donplaypuks® intrepid correspondent for rule by law over rule by justice affairs

The decision yesterday by  High Court Judge Datuk Su Geok Yam that DAP MP Teresa Kok's false arrest under the Internal Security Act in 2008 was lawfully done, stinks to high heaven.

More than that, Judge Su's order awarding costs of RM50,000 each (total RM200,000) to the accused Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar, then Home Minister, former Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan, DSP E Kim Tien and the Malaysian government, is a clear example of judicial incompetency and an absolute travesty of justice. It's incredible that the judge is punishing a completely  innocent Teresa Kok instead of taking the government to task for a malicious arrest and remand!

In 2008, Teresa Kok was arrested over false and totally concocted allegations (by you know who - BUMNO/SCUMNO) that she had complained/ordered a mosque in her constituency not to broadcast the Azan prayers over the loudspeaker system.

Later, the head of the relevant mosque committee confirmed that faulty wiring was the reason why the Azan had not been broadcast. He also did not mince his words when he said that Teresa Kok had not made any complaint regarding the broadcasting of Azan prayers or been involved in any petitions against the mosque.

In fact, the mosque committee head confirmed that Teresa Kok had previously helped raise funds for the mosque.

These are solid facts and the absolute truth as to what really happened. Yet, she was detained by order of IGP Musa Hassan under section 73(1) of the ISA on the ground that she had taken part in activities "that could cause tension and racial clashes".  Home Minister Syed Albar who was informed by the IGP of Teresa Kok's arrest, did not lift a finger to find out if the IGP had acted reasonably or to rectify a blatant misuse of the ISA.

She was arrested on 12 September 2008 and treated like a pariah dog, shunted about from police station to police station to prevent lawyers from filing a swift habeas corpus application to the courts. She was not allowed to exercise her Constitutional right to have immediate access to her lawyers. She was eventually released on 19 September 2008, without any charges being pressed against her, and worse, no apology from the Home Minister or IGP. What disgraceful scoundrels!

On 27 September 2008, two petrol bombs were thrown into the compound of her house by unknown extremists, no doubt motivated by swirling rumours of attacks against Muslims, to which fuel was added by the IGP's failure to investigate impartially and scotch the unfounded stories of Teresa Kok's involvement.

I do not care what the law says. If a person has done no wrong, and the police arrested them without investigating and ascertaining all the facts, then the police are wrong. They are the ones who should be charged in court and ordered to pay $200,0000 compensation to Teresa Kok or sent to prison with a stiff sentence to send a pointed message to the Home Minister and the IGP that incompetency and hasty policy actions will not be accepted or tolerated.

If the ISA (or Prevention Of Terrorism Act or Sedition Act) is worded such that it allows arrests so long as "proper procedures are followed" even if police investigations are shoddy and half-past-six or places the onus on the Rakyat to prove their innocence, then it must be Unconstitutional, and judges should have the common sense and decency to rule bearing in mind justice and not rule by (screwed-up) laws!

Recent decisions against Karpal Singh, a lawyer, for merely stating that the Sultans are also subject to the laws of the country, Anwar Ibrahim's conviction for sodomy despite a police officer hopelessly breaking the law and compromising the chain of DNA evidence and other decisions, clearly show that justice is still and ephemeral concept in our courts.

How can that not be, when the government under PM Najib and his (wooden IKEA) Cabinet have yet to implement the recommendations of the 2008 Royal Commissions of Inquiries for the establishment of the Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) and prosecution of 2 ex-Chief Justices Ahmad Fairuz and Eusoff Chin for fixing of judicial appointments and corruption, and also ex-PM Mahathir, businessman Vincent Tan and lawyer Lingam for their roles in the 'Lingamgate' judicial-fixing scandal.

If the police and judges know that they will never be held publicly accountable and punished severely for blatant incompetency and professional misconduct, then we are literally giving them a licence to establish a police state much favoured by Stalin, Hitler and Mao.

This flagarant miscarriage of justice against Teresa Kok must be reversed, and the 3 accused -  Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar, then Home Minister, former Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan and the Malaysian government - be fined RM 1 million each and Albar and Musa Hassan sent to prison. DSP E Kim Tien should be educated of the Nuremburg principle - that you do not follow orders if it goes against the most basic of human rights, especially if orders are issued by 3rd rate leaders and are based on shoddy and incomplete, unprofessional, biased and racism/religious bigotry-tinged invesigations.

PM NAJIB, IGP & AG, DO NOT MAKE THE CHRISTIANS BEAR THEIR CROSS!

by richard the lionheart, donplaypuks® intrepid correspondent for christian affairs

We are quickly being educated about the nature of the evil that surrounds us and those who are intent on perpetrating it. But most of all we are awakening to the bumbling incompetency and idiocy of those whom we have entrusted to keep the law and peace.

Both by wilful neglect and congenital brain defect, we have a top law enforcer who thinks that intimidating and forcing church officials into removing a cross from a Church wall does not constitute an act of religious bigotry, seditious conduct or plain criminal thuggery. You think the priest who hastily removed the "offending" cross was seduced by the oratory and persuasive powers of libertarians or by fear for his safety and life when accosted by 50 Muslim "demonstrators'?

Did the demonstrators have a police permit to assemble? How, oh mighty IGP, is, by your own words, a "flash mob", legal?

And by what chain of logical thinking did our IGP arrive at the conclusion that coercing a priest into bringing down the cross did not "touch on Christianity"? So, if some mindless moron should announce that he is vexed deeply by the Azan being broadcast over loudspeakers at some mosque and demands that  it should be shut down permanently, it does not "touch on Islam"? And, are we to believe that our, oh so understanding and sympathetic IGP would in that instance not throw the book at that bigoted moron with lightning speed?

It is not enough that the PM merely expresses his "displeasure". Heads should roll, starting with the IGP and AG.

What we are witnessing did not happen overnight. When the AG prosecuted Karpal for merely stating the law, but refused to do likewise to Ibrahim Ali over "burn the bible" incident and laughed it off by saying "there was no intent to incite hatred" and that he was only defending the "sanctity of Islam", the writing was already on the wall. When the IGP and AG refused to comply with a court order to arrest a father who had kidnapped a daughter and hand over custody to the mother in an Islam conversion case tussle, we knew what real sentiments lay in their hearts of hearts.

By weak leadership on the part of Najib, law enforcers and prosecutors have become the de facto investigators, judge, jury and executioners. Home Ministers and the Cabinet are looking and behaving as though they have been completely emasculated. Law enforcers and prosecutors have become persecutors, resulting in over a hundred arrests in recent weeks under the Sedition Act, with ill-concealed vengeance. Not only has cartoonist Zunar been charged with 43 counts of sedition, it would appear that his printers have also been threatened. In a throw-back to Stalinism, Nazism and Maoism, the IGP has demanded that MOL disclose the names of Zunar books online buyers.

This is not merely law enforcement with double standards. As the top law enforcers approach retirement, they are also sending out the signals for their post-retirement benefits and rewards. The are giving a broad hint to Najib that they will assist him in creating and maintaining a police state, if he understands what he should bequeath to them in their golden years. The quid pro quo card has been played without a hint of shame or conscience.

If our elected government cannot guarantee freedom of speech and expression, or our fundamental right to practice the religion of our choice, the the government itself has to go. How have all these erosions of our Constitutional rights come about? By government sponsored brainwashing BTN courses and not keeping the ulamas on a tight leash. Why else would a kadi demand that Muslims be exempted from GST or a surau be voluntarily demolished merely because some Buddhists prayed there in innocence?

More than anything else, this dangerous behaviour by some wayward Muslim extremists is due to BUMNO/SCUMNO/Barang Naik wanting to stay in power at any cost, and mistakenly thinking that a devil's pact with PAS would be better than being voted completely out of government. How else could we have a prime minister who has not said a word about the Constitutional illegality of hudud laws passed by Kelantan? But Najib has not learnt anything from history, from what has been happened in Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Yemen, Iraq and Iran, Nigeria and Kenya. A Theological State will eventually not evolve, into a glorious democracy and prosperous state, but it will devolve like ISIL, seeking total control and harking everyone back to the dark ages, intolerance and totalitarianism!

But, can we expect the unexpected from Najib? If he claims he is not testicularly challenged, he should throw these perverts and evil men behind bars, yesterday! He should remove religion from schools, universities and government offices, by yesterday.

The good news is, Najib's days are numbered. The bad news is that his replacement may not be any better!
